Facilities Services Network finalized its calculations for the next edition of Solomon Coyle’s Installation Estimating Workbook at the association’s Winter 2013 meeting in San Francisco.
The months-long effort by the international peer group of independent office furniture installation companies reflects experience from a wide variety of markets in the US, Canada and Australia. Gene Kosman, who coordinated the project for FSN, submitted the final data to the Solomon Coyle team earlier today.
Other highlights of the FSN meeting, held 28 February and 1 March, included guided tours of FSN’s Bay Area members—JEi, Corporate Services, based in San Jose, and Service West, based in San Leandro—planning for the group’s 2013 financial benchmarking program, and election of the new vice president and a new regular member of the group’s governing board.
Gene Kosman (Colonial Systems), the sitting vice president, replaced Mark Vignoles (Service West), the outgoing president. Regular Executive Committee member Jared Manning (Manning Group) was elected vice president. Aubrey Kimberling (Professional Installers) was elected to regular membership on the Executive Committee, filling the seat vacated by Jared Manning.
FSN’s 2013 pre-NeoCon meeting will be held 8–9 June in Chicago.
