Principals from the member companies that were hardest hit by the recent snow and extreme cold will experience a welcome break when Facilities Services Network convenes for its 40th meeting on Monday, March 3. Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel in Santa Monica, California, is the site of the two-day meeting.
FSN is an international association of independent furniture and facility services companies operating in Canada, Australia and Singapore as well as across the United States.
Reports on market conditions and best-practice initiatives will be the focus of roundtable discussions on Monday. The first day’s agenda also includes presentations on unfunded liability, terms and conditions and insurance issues, a social media workshop, and an orientation to ForeSight desking systems, a new product line by Swiftspace.
On Tuesday, the group’s Southern California members will provide updates on their capabilities, operations and facilities, with Mark Cordell speaking for Environments Plus and Mark Vignoles for Service West. The attendees will see Service West’s Orange County facility and meet members of the staff there during an afternoon guided tour.
Other scheduled activities for Tuesday include the presentation of a business management system case study and the election of replacements for two leadership positions being vacated in accordance with FSN’s by-laws.
