The ability to meet an exceptionally wide range of client requirements is an important differentiator for Environments Plus, Inc. (EPI), one of two Facilities Services Network members operating in Southern California.
EPI showcased this ability recently for an independent licensee and distributor of entertainment content and programming in North America, the United Kingdom and Australia.
The client company was consolidating and relocating its West Coast office to a corporate park in Woodland Hills, California. Their new space was undergoing a comprehensive tenant improvement. They would be starting out with virtually all new furniture, most of it consisting of Friant lines.

At the client’s request, Environments Plus, which is headquartered in San Fernando, California, assigned a space planner/designer to work on the development of the project plan with an interior design-oriented member of the client’s staff. The furniture sale was handled by a manufacturer’s rep. EPI did the initial product specifying, later finalizing the specifications with the local dealership that handled the procurement.
EPI received and stored the furniture at its warehouse in San Fernando, later delivering it to the job site over the course of four nights and staging it for installation.
Over the course of seven days, an eight-member team installed the 50 workstations, 32 private offices, three conference rooms, four meeting areas, reception station and seating.
EPI also performed the relocation of the client’s 80-member staff. The relocation scope of work, which was accomplished over one weekend, included disconnection and reconnection of the client’s PCs and printing equipment.
Feedback
The Friant furniture rep involved in the project offered very positive comments, saying, “Your guys took the time and care to make sure everything was leveled to a T. That is very important with the new Friant Novo system. With the new trim pieces, it will make or break an install. Your team did an amazing job."
